David Turner - Licensed Massage & Bodywork Specialist

Hello, I’m David Turner, licensed bodywork and massage therapist, and owner of Healing Touch Charlotte, Inc. This is a brief introduction to who I am and my training in Massage Therapy.

I created The Healing Touch in 1999 and incorporated as Healing Touch Charlotte, Inc. in 2008. Through continued training, I have expanded my knowledge of modalities to include Myofascial release, Chair Massage, and Prenatal Massage techniques.

I have been practicing informal massage and healing techniques for over twenty years – first as a student of martial arts and then through helping friends & family. Being told time and time again that I had a natural healing talent, I attended The Whole You School of Massage in Rutherfordton, NC, graduating in 1999. There I learned the classic techniques of massage, as well as other techniques such as Reiki, Craniosacral and Reflexology.

My mission statement is: to use bodywork to assist in the physical, mental, and emotional healing of those who need and seek balance and well-being.

I feel so fortunate to be able to touch people’s lives in a positive way through massage therapy. I truly believe in the healing benefits of massage!

I wasn’t always a therapist, however. In my former career, I was a middle school teacher! (I definitely have a first hand understanding of the pain and muscle tension that accompany job related stress!). I am very proud of the time that I spent with Charlotte’s school children, guiding and encouraging them down the right path. Now, as a massage therapist, I have the opportunity to encourage and educate my clients on their journey toward greater health!

I graduated from the Massage and Neuromuscular Therapy program at Southeastern Institute here in Charlotte. This was when my passion for all things massage therapy was ignited! I have become a life-long massage and bodywork student, and I plan to continually learn and grow as a therapist.

I’m still a teacher at heart and I enjoy taking every opportunity to educate my clients about anatomy, physiology, and useful self-care techniques that can help extend the benefits of their sessions. I strive to encourage balance in each of my client’s lives by providing massage therapy that not only decreases pain and muscle tension, but results in relaxation and greater emotional balance.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our site and I hope to help you on your path to health and wellness!
